I Don't Blame You

Jun. 25th, 2006 | 05:39 pm
location: worky workums

Today is the day of the big Pride Parade and I don't care at all. Does that make me a bad queer? I kinda feel like one. Plus, I'm working, as I was yesterday. I need the money bad-times after our Bonnaroo trip, which was awesome by the way. But I won't bore you with the details because chances are, if you know me, you know Julie and have already read her comments on it. Redundancy just ain't my style, bitches.

So we might just go for a "casual stroll" along Chruch tonight to check stuff out. Gotta smoke a j first, though. I can't stand being surrounded by too many people anymore. Am I becoming jaded? I think I'm past the point of "becoming"...

Yeah, so anyways, I guess I should tell you about what's been goin' on post-Bonnaroo.

First of all, a small digression. Brennan just said that he was watching a bit of FAMILY MATTERS and it was the one where Laura dressed up as a man to get a better price on a used car. CLASSIC.

Back to my boring life...

The past few days have been utterly uneventful. Saw The Streets on Friday at the Phoenix and that was really great. I think we're getting old, because we showed up early (even though it was a really early show - doors at 6, what?) and we got a TABLE up at the top and sat there the whole time. Sitting is a wonderful thing. We went to Green Room after with Mandy and got delicious nachos and then went home and smoked some and went to bed. I had to work early Saturday morning, so no late-night funtimes for me. At work, I decided to scrap the school schedule I had because it was very iffy as to whether I would considered full-time with all the 3 credit classes I had. So I changed it up and now I'm taking a first year (i know, I KNOW) Intro to Social and Political Thought class, which hopefully won't be sooooo bad. Really, the only downside is the tutorials. I think I might skip the first one, because I was thinking about it this morning and they always make you do stupid crap on the first day to "get to know each other". I don't want to know anyone. I just want to blend in, do my readings, take my notes and be ignored. Hopefully I won't die from having to be around first years. I can look at it as preparation for being a TA, maybe? Jeebus save me.

I got off work way earlier than Julie and Bren, so I came home and read my book and then at 9, Dazed and Confused was on tv, so I watched that. We watched some Monty Python and then SNL and I got soooooo tired that I had to go to bed before it was over and before Peps came over. But I did see the Dixie Chicks thing and LOVED IT. Maya knows.

This morning was breakfast at Cora's, which is still keeping me full even at 5:53 in the pm. Walked through the pre-pride gatherings and Julie went to work and me and Peps came back to the apartment. We watch Oprah's "Beginnings" on the boxset and then he had to go home, so I took a POWERNAP and then trudged off to work. Which is where I am now, typing this and feeling sorry for myself.

I feel like we SHOULD do something Pride-related tonight, even though all I feel like doing is going home and watching a movie or something. So yeah, I think we'll just walk around Churchy-Church for a bit and see what's goin' on.

Tomorrow is my last day at my Mom's school with my kiddies. I'm really gonna miss those kids. They're all so smart and precious and adorable and they crack me up. The official last day of school is wednesday, y'alls. WATCH FOR CHILDREN!

I want a tattoo. I want like, three.

I'm pretty much obsessed with Cat Power right now. Which probably isn't the best idea because the majority of her music is really depressing and makes me happy and sad at the same time. Happy because it's beautiful, sad because it's heartbreaking (it sounds lame, but it's actually true, you WILL cry).

MAKE IT BACON!

Peace out.

This Gun's For Hire

music: dancing in the dark

Yesterday started out craptacular. All blame falls on UPS, who have apparently lost or destroyed our tickets to Bonnaroo. Luckily, Bonnaroo is very understanding and is willing to replace our tickets, since they didn't actually get delivered at all. Effin' UPS can suck my balls.

Arguing with UPS took up the majority of the day and so the real fun didn't start until the afternoon, when me and Julie had Date Night. We decided to go to this awesome Italian place by Honest Ed's that has the very best butternut squash agnolotti ever. After dinner, we went and grabbed some coffees, looked at pictures of Brangelina's baby and then went to Sonic Boom to check out some cds. Julie found a couple she's been looking for forever and I got the Babyshambles album for reals (we only had it downloaded) and the Arctic Monkeys Scummy Man DVD...And then I found me some Springsteen. Now, this may not seem like the type of musical purchase I would make, for anyone who knows me well enough. But, as I was telling Julie, Dancing in the Dark is pretty much my childhood anthem. I must have been between 5 and 7, since this album came out in the '80s, and my mom had a pretty big crush on The Boss. I was under the naive impression that Bruce was one day coming over for dinner. I vividly recall seeing a concert of his on tv, he was wearing a grey t-shirt (it very well could have been a tank top) and his classic red bandana.

Anyways, we went to see the Vaughnistan (yes, that's what they're calling them) flick The Break-Up, which was surprisingly better than we had anticipated. Who doesn't love Vince Vaughn, though? Seriously? I think everyone has a secret crush on Vince Vaughn. Fo reals.

So then we went back home and lit a few and listened to Born in the U.S.A.

Best day ever.

Everytime you close your eyes...

Jun. 7th, 2006 | 05:10 pm
location: office, desk beside midget hands
music: nintendo themes in my dreams

It's the end of my breaktime. Two minutes to go and counting. But I can keep dickin' around afterwards, so it don't matter none.

Text messaging is mad addictive. It's so money to text message. "It's so money" is my new catchphrase, I just decided today. I stole it from the early nineties.

Peppers is going to see Radiohead tonight and me and Brennan are tomorrow. Who will win? I think Peppers technically does because he gets to go first...But then again, we get to go on closing night. Roses for Thom?

Last night I almost cried at how cute my baby Chewy was. He was sleepy all curled up (literally) in his "crib" and his little nose was whistling whenever he breathed out. I listened and watched him sleep and seriously thought about waking Panti to let her hear how precious it was. This morning he played with Tinkerbell on the wall and he can jump ever so high! Almost up the whole damn wall! We also found him a little Piglet (winnie the pooh styles) on the subway platform at Eglinton station and washed it and he loves to play with it. He's the most perfect, precious baby kitten ever. He gets to go on a vacation to grandma's house next week when we go to Bonnaroo (he's staying with my parents).

I had a most delicious cookie. I think it was just one of those chewy-type-mr. christie-you-make-good-cookies kind of cookies. Yums.

Nothing very exciting is happening except Radiohead. I've just been very busy and I've been thinking about getting another tattoo. Other than that, nothin'.

'Cept my new CELL PHONE! Holla to THAT. The three of us each got one and we can't stop the texting. Too much fun, seriously.

Signed up for my classes, but I don't know if I count as full-time because some of them are only half year courses. Good timey, though. At least for now.

Peppers and I need to go on a date soontimes. We talked about beds and decided we need some alone time.

I miss T-wi something fierce because she went to live in Kingston. I want to go visit sooooooo badlers!

Last night, there was an unopened box of "biscuits" on the streetcar. I took a picture with my camera phone. I heart technology.

I am severely depressed over the lack of MATTHEW in my life right now. Matthew, where are you? Girl Talk needs you, I need you, Julie needs you...Please come and play with me!

Hey Brian! It's Your Birthday!

May. 20th, 2006 | 09:51 am
location: worktimes

Guys, I think Britney Spears needs some help.

It seems as though she is trying to kill her child.

Today, there is yet another story of child mishandling on MSN gossip (where I get ALL my information on all things important in life)

Here is the gist of the article:

"Britney Spears stumbled outside a Manhattan hotel, nearly dropping her 8-month-old son and further fueling the ever-growing media scrutiny of her parenting skills...

As her bodyguards walked Spears to her car, she stumbled — her long pants apparently getting tangled in her open-toed shoes — and bent low as Sean Preston's head flung backward, knocking off his orange hat...

Earlier this week, she was photographed driving with Sean Preston in a car seat facing forward rather than facing backward, which some safety regulations say is best...

Last month, Sean Preston slipped from his nanny's arms as she was lifting him from a high chair and something in the chair snapped...

In February, authorities visited Spears' home after photos showed the singer in a car with her son in her lap, instead of being strapped to a car seat in the back seat. "

And she's having another one.

Julie says that kid is gonna be messed up for soooooo many reasons. And "K FED IS HIS DAD! i think that's the number one reason". Touche.

On to other news....

Yesterday was a fun day. We went out for the most delicious burritos of all time in Kensington. BIG FAT BURRITO = HEAVEN ON EARTH

Then I met up with T-wi and we had our special birthday day together and got each other our birthday presents. Holla. Smoothies and lots of walking and then it rained but it was okay.

Lonestar for dinner, Green Room and meeting up with Julie and Bren and randomly running into Peps and Casey! Holla!

Home time and some smokey smoke-ums and me and Bren jammed and it was awesome.

Mandy is coming over on Monday!!!!!

Architecture in Helsinki is tonight!!!

Gawd, I'm tired.

I wish my job was to sit here and draw and doodle and read and eat things. Oh wait, it kind of is.

MOS DEF ON VINYL

Does anyone have any tips on getting pot across the border?

Peppers says my name is Jazz, but he only called me that once times.

Over n' out!

AVOID GRAPEFRUIT JUICE AT ALL COSTS

May. 18th, 2006 | 08:28 pm
location: my workplace
mood: lazy lazy
music: radiohead on the brain

Dearest Gurnal,

I am supposed to be working right now. Supposed to be writing emails back to rich idiots. But I choose instead to write to you, my Gurnal. Only you.

Today is May 18, which means it is baby Chewy's 9 month birthday. He is getting big, but he is still pretty small. Definitely not full-grown. He's precious and perfect and I'll love him forever.

Last night we met up with Erin and watched Bodysong, which Jonny Greenwood of Radiohead did the soundtrack to. I highly recommend watching this film, my friends. It's intense and amazing and weird and is full of images you have never seen and never thought you would ever see. The soundtrack is very PYRAMID SONG off Amnesiac. I love Jonny. See this movie, please.

Me and Brennan found out that we are going to South America for our FAM trip with work. From August 10-15, we will be staying at the Four Seasons in Buenos Aires as well as the resort in Carmelo, Uruguay. I am very excited about this trip, but terrified of the flight. Planes are not my friends. I don't understand them. We also have to take a small, 8 passenger charter plane over the water to the resort, and that already has my knickers in a twist. I am going to see my doctor for some drugs to make me lucid and accepting of my impending doom.

Me and Brennan also spent $175 each on tickets to see Radiohead at the Hummingbird Centre because Ticketmaster is a bitch. It will be well worth it. We will never again see the greatest band of all time in such an intimate setting. It is worth the price of 2 weeks of groceries.

Got my grades back finally. Crazyface and Fem Theories both gave me B+ and I got a disappointing B in my Young Feminisms class because I have Social Anxiety Disorder, which prevents me from doing presentations...Therefore, I missed out on 10% because I couldn't do said presentation and could not find enough time amongst all my other assignments to make up the mark. Idiot.

I was looking on the internet and found out that I shouldn't mix Celexa with GRAPEFRUIT JUICE. It even came before the warning against alcohol consumption.

Next year will be the "fun" year. I get to play around on campus with a schedule full of electives, the likes of: guitar and piano for non-majors, as well as a first year drawing course and a couple other excitingly mindless classes. Yippee!

At the moment I am reading Douglas Coupland's newest book, jpod. It's really super great. When I'm not reading it, I find myself longing to. It's this generation's Microsurfs/Generation X. It scares me sometimes. It makes me feel useless and unimportant, and yet it still manages to keep me coming back for more. Read this book, please.

People think the world is going to end on July 6th because then it will be 6/6/6.

"I'm sorry, but you are within the cancellation policy. Should you wish to cancel your reservation at this time, you will forfeit your three night deposit."

"Unfortunately, it is up to the property itself to determine whether the cancellation policy can be waived. May I suggest contacting them directly?"

We played Choose Your Own Adventure with Peppers the other day. My, what fun! I miss those books. Can I find them on ebay? The answer is yes. There are tons, including "Choose Your Own STAR WARS Adventure". I urge you to go check it out.

: Gnarls Barkley, Dresden Dolls, Wolfmother, Architecture in Helsinki, Elf Power, Arctic Monkeys, The Softies, Thom Yorke's solo album.

I looked into art school the other day when I wanted to give up on academia. It scares me and I hate portfolios.

Bonnaroo is fast approaching. We are leaving June 13. That's only 26 more nights.

The laundry room in our building is a sad, sad place. It reminds me of horror films with the flickering flourescent lighting and the incessant hummmmmmmmmmmmm of the machines. At any moment that creepy guy you saw in the elevator could silently approach you from behind and...

You didn't even see it coming.

One time we thought there was a dead body hidden down there because there was some rank stench and flies all around everywhere. We didn't say anything to anybody, so I guess we didn't REALLY believe it.

Tomorrow is Binky Day and I get to spend the whole entire day with T-wi. We decided to save getting birthday presents for each other (we share the same birthday) and go shopping together and have a whole day of hangout funtimes. And perhaps LONE STAR for dinner. I am attempting to get rid of my work shift for Saturday so that I can go to her cottage and see her family, who I miss dearly. I'm trying my best, so we'll see what happens.

We finally get to see Mandy again. Gurnal, I can't even tell you how much I have missed our dear Manders. We will rent Shopgirl and marvel in wonder at the cuddly cuteness of all things Jason Schwartzman:

schwartzman

Awwwww.

Tomorrow is a day of rest and relaxation. Finally. I don't think I can handle a regular, full-time job. At least I'll be in school for the next couple of years, procrastinating on starting my life. I'll just buy more shoes and drink to keep myself happy.

Alas, the time has come to put this entry to rest.

Adieu, dear Gurns. Adieu.

Wowzers, it's been a long time, hasnt' it Gurns?

Peppers just told me he ate flour and rice and blamed it on Oprah. I don't know what he's on about.

Speaking of Oprah, I just had my birthday! YAY! And Julie got my the OPRAH 20 YEAR ANNIVERSARY BOXSET and it's brilliant. Just brills.

There's only about a month left until Bonnaroo. Radiohead is coming to the Hummingbird Centre on June 7 & 8 and we tried to get tickets today but they sold out in SECONDS. Actual seconds. So that SUCKS. But I think me and Brennan are still gonna go somehow. IT'S RADIOHEAD.

School is done and I love it.

We went to a cafe that sells pot in things, like brownies and smoothies and chocolate and you can smoke pot on their patio. Holla to that. It was weird though, because it felt like a secret club/speakeasy...We only stayed for a little while and ate a tiny brownie and smoked a j and went on our way. Then later on the street we saw one of the waitresses and she smiled at us knowningly. It was a secret smile.

DON'T NARC IT TIL YOU'VE TRIED IT (Peppers, 2006)

I got my guitar and I love it. It's hot and wonderful and everything. Been foolin' around on it a little bit...Dickin' around and such.

Saw Art School Confidential last night. It was good, but it wasn't the best. I liked it, though. John Malkovich, come on.

Bought a lot of crap recently off ebay. That place is a danger zone.

Bonnaroo is coming up and will be the best thing ever of all time ever. I can't wait. Not even a little bit.

I'm bored of writing in here.

Male, 33, Seeks Puberty

Apr. 9th, 2006 | 01:15 pm
mood: hollaback girl hollaback girl
music: puberty soundtrack - action sound super band

Holla Gurnal,

I am finally done school. I can't even tell you how huge a relief that is. Except for this one pesky take-home exam I have left, but whatever. IT'S ALL DONE BITCHES! No more Crazyface, no more Feminist Theories bullshite course! I am actually kinda sad that Allyson's class is over, though.

I am getting a new electric geetar for my birfday! I went and picked it out on Friday. It's this one here in the picture, except that it's a hot sexxy blue:

geetar

I am pretty much in love with it.

ACTION SOUND SUPER BAND HOLLA!

I haven't seen Arrested Development in so long. Too long.

We took Brennan to LONE STAR for his birthday dinner. He had never, ever been before and he LOVED IT. I missed it! Now I want to go there every damn day because it's the best food of all time, pretty much.

Also, we borrowed the first season of Full House from T-wi and in the special features is the "original unaired pilot"...with someone OTHER THAN BOB SAGET PLAYING DANNY TANNER!!! It was by far the trippiest thing I have ever seen. It was some creepster guy, he was pretty gross and kind of sexual with everyone. It did NOT work with this guy. They must have shown it to test audiences and those peeps were like "yeah, it's a pretty good show and we like everyone...except that creepster sexual gross guy, get ridda him!". And then there was Bob Saget. Our Saviour.

bobsaget

ALL HAIL LORD SAGET!

In other news, Chewy is going for his neutering on Monday and I am terribly worried about it. I know I shouldn;t be because it's all routine and whatnot, but still. He's my little baby. AND he has to stay overnight! WAH! I'm gonna miss him and be worried about him sooo much!

SNL was really funny with Antonio Banderas. That's all I'm gonna say about that.

Also, Beauty Shop starring Queen Latifah is the best movie of all time ever and I'm serious.

We watched a documentary a couple days ago called "Male, 33, Seeks Puberty". It was about this 33 year old DOCTOR who had NEVER been through puberty because his body can't produce testosterone. In addition, his peener was, and I quote "4 cm, resting". CENTIMETRES, PEOPLE. It was pretty much the best thing ever and I highly recommend seeing it if possible.

Then Julie wrote a song about him and it's my new favourite song and Action Sound Super Band is gonna do it up right. There might even be some kind of bells or chimes in it, so hold onto your hats, ladies!

Alright, that's it for now.

Love,

Crind

It's true, Journal. That boy is dancin' around and singin' his beautiful songs right this minute while I toil away at work. But diss. I got to see him last night! YAY!

So here's the run-down. Monday night was Oasis. BRILLS. Got SMASHED as can be and me and Boy went and the Arctic Monkeys opened and I knew from the second I heard them that I had to go see their show the next night at the Phoenix. Oasis even liked them, which is a big feat for any band. Aside from the fact that they were on tour with them, Liam (yes, big-mouthed, arsehole Liam) dedicated Rock N' Roll Star to the Arctic Monkeys. WOWIE ZOWIE! Liam was lookin' cool as f*ck, as he always does. Just standing there and taking in all the worship. Lookit how COOL this guy is!!!!

liam

Yeah. So Oasis was well, well worth it. Super awesome. Super goodtimes. We went and got Green Room nachos after. Holla.

So the next night (Tuesday) I decided to go see the Arctic Monkeys at the Phoenix because I really wanted to see a whole show because they are so good and my new favourite band. I hadn't bought a ticket before, because I was going to two concerts before and after it...

Anyways...So I went by myself. It's the first concert I've ever gone to by myself. It was well worth it (and the $60

Anyways...So I went by myself. It's the first concert I've ever gone to by myself. It was well worth it (and the $60 <gasp!> I had to pay for my ticket!!!) I got a shirt and it's red. And I was soooo close. Not in the middle because I don't like it because it gets too rowdy, but just off to the right side, and it was PERFECT. Here are those boys playing in a tiny room:

So that was one of the best things I'd ever done/been to. And they're gonna be HUGE. I just know it. This was their first headlining show in Canada, and it was a small venue and soon no one will be able to see them in a small place or for less than like, $50, so there. I win.

Wednesday, I promised Mandy I'd go to class and I did. Damn that class.

Wednesday night was the Coldplay concert! I knew it was gonna be sooooo good because Richard Ashcroft was opening and Coldplay is always really, really good. Me and Julie took my Mommy because Bren couldn't come. My Mom is totally in love with Richard Ashcroft! Who knew? When he came on, he started and then like, halfways through the first song he took his shoes and socks off and my Mom LOVED IT, and then she was lovin' the songs and asked me who he was and I said "Richard Ashcroft, he used to be in the Verve" and she totally knew who they were!!! I was never really, REALLY into them, so it really surprised me! And then, about 3 minutes later, she turned to me and said "they did Lucky Man, right?" WHAT?!?! How does my Mommy know that?!?! She knows so much about the Verve! Anyways, later on, he actually sang Lucky Man and my mom got so excited and said "ooooh, it's my song!" How cute is that? And she's STILL talking about him today!! She wants me to burn all of his cds for her because she loves him so much! He's so awesome, though. Look at how cool HE is:

Then Coldplay came on and it was magical. They were makin' a DVD because apparently they LOVE Toronto and wanted to film it here. Holla. That felt nice. It was so good and that baby Chris Martin was so excited and jumping all around and being precious. He still hasn;t cut his damn hair, though! He's such a puff-head now. Silly boy.

It was a great night. We had to wait a whole hour after for my mom's train and then I made her call me when she got home so that I knew she was safe. She called and said "Thanks, MOM" all sarcastic-like and I love her.

THEN, while we were waiting around for my mom to call, Julie was checking her email to see if her friend had written her back and she stumbled upon an EARLY ACCEPTANCE LETTER TO YORK'S SOCIAL AND POLITICAL THOUGHT GRAD SCHOOL PROGRAM, WHAT?! It's beyond amazing. They're so impressed with her application! They're giving her a MINIMUM guaranteed $8000 plus an assistanceship! Oh, I'm so prouders of my baby. She's so happy, and rightly so! We're going out for a celebratory dinner tomorrow night, woot woot!

I'm going to help Peppers move at the end of April. He paid for my train ticket, that sweetie boy. I have to get all muscley so that I can lift heavy things!

Chewy spilled tea today because he was very hyper and he broke a mug. But then he was scared about it so I couldn't be mad. And then he was playing these little bears that are about half his size, and he was running around with one in his mouth and it was so cute that it almost broke my heart.

They turned the water off again today for "maintenance", whatever THAT means. It was supposed to be off from 9-2, but it still wasn't on when I left at 2:40, those bastards. THEN, I get to the elevator and the sign is there saying the water shut-off has been "postponed" until tomorrow,...FROM 9-5!!!! EXCUSE ME?! First of all, it's not "postponed" if you turned the water off TODAY. AND, what the hell is this ALL DAY business? How the hell are people supposed to do anything? People have to use the bathroom and drink water and do dishes and have showers and such! You can't turn the water off for the whole entire ------- day!!! Those bastards!

Tomorrow in Allyson's class, we're having a totally random potluck and watching Harold and Maude. Awesome.

That's all folks.

Wowzers, it's been a long, long ti-um since I wrote to you, my Gurns. I apologize for my absence. I've been too busy drinking beer and fighting off ninjas to take a moment for you. I'm a bad mother.

So tomorrow night is the Oasis concert. Little Brenners can't come anymore because he has to go home to tend to some family bizness (it ain't none of yours, bitch). But Boy is coming with me, so it should still be a funtimes. And the baby Arctic Monkeys are opening, which I am muchos excited about. I love them and people tell me I look like the lead singer, Alex Turner. Is it true?

I think I'm actually going to go to all of my classes this week, which is a BIG feat for me considering I hate 2 out of the 3. AND, we're totally randomly watching Harold and Maude in Allyson's class on Friday. And having a potluck. My contribution will be curry chi-aps. Best things ever. I will win.

James Blunt creeps me out. He has crazy eyes when he sings. And that song annoys me. And he was on Oprah and was weird. He's weird. Ew.

Joey LOVES Oasis now. I am the best big sister ever. He changed his MSN name to Wonderwall. He's the coolest kid of all time ever. Rock on, brutha.

Also, I'm such a bad Binky. I haven't seen or talked to my T-wi in forever-times. Boo-urns to me.

We're gonna make some mooooovies. Not about cows. Well, maybe ONE.

Me and Julie and Mandy have a gang now. We all have matching shoes that we bought because they were on sale. They are different colourz, but still the same shoe. We are the Slutbagz Krew. We're gonna write it on the bottoms of our shoes, so watch out bitches.

I also bought a hat that has chickens fighting and it says "Cockfight" on it. Hahahaha. My hat says cock.

LET'S HAVE A DANCE PARTY!

It's my break time.

I'm-a eat an apple.

Hollaback!

Luv,
Crinds.

High Five!

music: Radiohead?

I'm in the middle of writing a paper. A very short one, mind you. For a written presentation. But it's taking a very long time because it's about cyborgs and I have writer's block because I always do.

We had BBQ's. It was delicious, DEE-licious.

I absolutely LOVE this computer! It's so fast and snazzy and wonderful!

I got the new Richard Ashcroft album today, it's really good. But it's stupid copy controlled and I can't even get itunes to open it. It's really ridiculous, actually. And very frustrating. So I gave up and I'm downloading it now, instead.

We went to Rotate today to exchange our Isobel tickets, since the concert got cancelled. Julie and I decided to get a Belle and Sebastian album on vinyl. But then we couldn't decide! It was really, very hard to choose. But then we decided to go in chronological order and we got Tigermilk, which I am VERY excited about. I also got Bright Eyes' I'm Wide Awake It's Morning on vinyl.

Very nice.

We also went to H&M and I found two shirts in the little boys section for myself. I'm the same size as a 9-12 year old boy, you know.

I have class sooooooo early tomorrow and I totally have to go, and it really sucks.

That also means I have to get this damn paper done...

We got Curry flavoured chips. They are Lays. Buy some. They will be your favourite thing ever.

Of Montreal is tomorrow night! Lookit how precious!

ofmontreal

Loves it. Can't wait.

Go see Dave Chappelle's Block Party. Trust.

I've also decided that high-fiving is my new thing. It's worked pretty well so far. People seem to like it. I think it makes people feel special. I'm mean, high-fiving is usually done during times of immense excitement. So I'm just proving to you how excited I am to know you and to be sharing that moment with you.

High Five!

Sharing The Laugher and Love...

Mar. 7th, 2006 | 09:44 pm
music: Baby Rain or Shine, All The Time...

So me and Julie were watching Growing Pains the other day on the Christian channel (channel 9, holla). The kids' grandfather had decided to give them all their inheritance so he gave it to them while he was still alive so he could watch them enjoy it. It seems innocent enough. All the kids ended up doing something for other people: Carol bought her grandparents tickets to Ireland (we missed the significance of it) and Mike was going to buy himself a sexy new sports car (for $5000?!) but ended up buying a really crappy car and giving most of his money to some homeless guy. Now, Ben...Ben took his entire $5000 cash and went out with his buddies (and yes, Stinky was there) and bought pretty much everything they saw. Eventually, there was a whole mob of teenagers following him and they ended up at a burger place, where he ordered burgers for everyone - with his last $80. It turned out he was the 1 millionth customer and his order was on the house! He also won...$5000!
So Ben gets home and his parents, Jason and Maggie, are FURIOUS that he spent all of his money in one day! Maggie says to him, "I can't believe you blew your entire wad!"

Excuse me?

"Blew your entire wad"?

I am reminded of Arrested Development.

Remember, not only is this a family show, but it was airing on the Christian television network! BRILLS!

Here is some eye candy:

also this:

Show me that smile again (Ooh show me that smile)
Don't waste another minute on your cryin'
We're nowhere near the end (We're nowhere near...)
The best is ready to begin

Ooh...
As long as we got each other
We got the world spinnin' right in our hands
Baby you and me...
We got to be...
The luckiest dreamers who never quit dreamin'

As long as we keep on givin'
We can take anything that comes our way
Baby rain or shine...
All the time...
We got each other
Sharin' the laughter and love
